Getting Started with iRise

Bellow you'll find a 5 step process that you can follow to become proficient in iRise. Take one step a day, or work through them all at once. Remember that you also have our tutorial videos if you'd like to work from them. 

On Day #1 we’ll learn how to: Create your first prototype, add a screen, add UI elements, and add hyperlinks.  So let’s get started!

 
 

Day #1: Creating your first Project and Page

 

Create your first prototype

  1. Log in to iRise.

  2. Click "Create new project" in the upper right.

  3. Name your project

  4. Keep the “Screens & Diagrams” checkbox checked

  5. Choose the “Desktop Web” project template

Add a screen

  1. Click to “+” button in the upper left

  2. Choose a screen template…

  3. Select the “Basic widgets 2.5” library

  4. Double click the “Browser Blank Page” template

  5. Name your page
 

Add UI elements (we call them “widgets”)

  1. Select the widget tab

  2. Change the drop-down to your project library

  3. Drag the “Full Widget Text Left” widget onto your page

  4. Position it

ADD a hyperlink

  1. Double click the button widget (note: the button is currently part of a group which is why you need to double-click  - you could right click and ungroup if you’d like)

  2. In the Actions panel, click the “Add Action” button

  3. Select “Click” as the Trigger

  4. Select “Link to screen” as the Action

  5. Click next - select “Homepage” as the destination

  6. Click to blue “Play” button to test your new link

ADD A HYPERLINK

  1. Double click the button widget (note: the button is currently part of a group which is why you need to double-click  - you could right click and ungroup if you’d like)

  2. In the Actions panel, click the “Add Action” button

  3. Select “Click” as the Trigger

  4. Select “Link to screen” as the Action

  5. Click next - select “Home
