Certifications
iRise offers several certifications to prove to individuals, peers, managers, employers and the general market that an individual has demonstrated a high level of proficiency in a particular version of iRise. As such, these certifications are different from certificates of completion that an individual receives for completing iRise training courses. Individuals who earn an iRise certification set themselves apart from the general population of iRise users in that their knowledge, skills and experience have quite literally been put to the test. As a result, these certifications are highly sought after by potential employers that seek confidence and competence in iRise users, consultants and trainers.
iRise Certified Modeler™
The iRise Certified Modeler certification is designed to distinguish individuals with significant knowledge, skills and experience in using a particular version of iRise. The certification is achieved by successfully completing a 75-question online exam that tests candidates' knowledge of iRise and its use on projects. This exam, comprised mostly of multiple choice questions, covers a broad range of topics primarily related to the modeling of software requirements in iRise Studio. It is assumed that candidates have a thorough knowledge of iRise Studio, as well as the entire modeling process from scenario definition through simulation and review of functional requirements. The candidate should be familiar with such essential modeling tasks as configuring page navigation and user interactions (including drag-and-drop), setting up dynamic displays, creating and applying styles, building and leveraging masters and templates, setting up basic data flow using the Clipboard, displaying and manipulating data stored in a datasheet, managing reviewer feedback, and writing requirements in Document View. Upon registering, candidates have 30 days to complete the one-hour exam at a time and place of their choosing.

iRise Certified Expert™
The iRise Certified Expert certification provides an opportunity for iRise users to elevate their status to the top tier of iRise professionals. This proctored, on-site exam is comprised of a series of hands-on exercises using a particular version of iRise Studio that test candidates' skill in applying their knowledge and experience on projects. Candidates are expected not only to have the product knowledge and essential skills required of iRise Certified Modelers, but also the ability to leverage advanced modeling techniques to visualize complex requirements. The exam is time-boxed so candidates can demonstrate their ability to perform under the pressures of a real project environment. Candidates must demonstrate a minimum proficiency on each part of the exam to achieve certification. Given the testing approach, individuals are strongly discouraged from seeking certification before taking the appropriate iRise training courses and before gaining skills and experience from using iRise on projects.

iRise Certified Trainer™
The iRise Certified Trainer certification is designed to distinguish individuals with proficient knowledge, skills and experience to train others to use a particular version of iRise. Given that the best trainers are those that not only know how to deliver iRise training, but also have significant knowledge, skills and experience using iRise on projects that they can share with course participants, the iRise Certified Trainer certification is achieved by completing the iRise Train the Trainer course and by achieving iRise Certified Expert certification.

Certified Modeler Pre-Test
The iRise Certified Modeler Pre-Test is a tool designed to help you gauge your preparedness for the iRise Certified Modeler exam. Although the testing environment is slightly different, and there are only 10 questions instead of 75, the questions on this practice test are of the same type as those on the official iRise Certified Modeler exam. Also, unlike the official exam, you will be able to review your answers on the Pre-Test to identify potential weaknesses in your preparation for the exam. If you are able to achieve a score of 70% or higher on the Pre-Test, it is possible – though not guaranteed – that you will pass the iRise Certified Modeler exam. You can take the Pre-Test as many times as you like, and we encourage you to submit your score each time you take it (requires creation of a free account on Acrobat.com).
