iRise Definition Center
Collaboration is the key to success
for business application projects. The iRise Definition Center is where teams defining
software meet. By working more effectively together in a shared workspace,
application definition teams:
- Improve productivity by bringing together geographically disperse
work forces to quickly iterate to the right definition answers
- Eliminate the risk of miscommunication that can lead to expensive
rework
- Create a high efficiency model that ensures projects finish on time
– no matter where on the planet simulations get created and reviewed
- Define applications that delight end users
- Eliminate surprises in the development process
Whether extending existing ideas, reusing existing definition assets
or creating in new directions, the iRise Definition Center provides the shared platform
where people can innovate quickly and effectively.
Teamwork
Creating business applications is a team sport, and cooperation encourages
creativity. By keeping team members connected – working in real
time within a shared virtual workspace – teams defining today’s
complex business applications can collaborate together regardless of location,
time or even organization.
For those times when they must be disconnected, the iRise Definition Center provides
teams with check-in / check-out capabilities. This lets authors continue
to work on their projects in disconnected environments while reviewers
continue to interact with the latest version of simulations – providing
useful feedback and moving projects forward.
Acceleration
A shared workspace reduces the amount of time required to define business
applications by literally getting everyone on the same page. Instead of
separate teams that document requirements, create mock-ups and elicit
feedback, analysts and stakeholders can now work together at the same
time, quickly iterating to the right answer. Using iRise in a shared environment
dramatically cuts the time it takes business and IT to agree on what to
build – getting critical business systems to market faster.
Feedback
The iRise Definition Center also acts as a centralized repository for feedback from
a variety of stakeholders. Designated reviewers log in to the iRise Definition Center
to “test drive” simulations by using a standard Internet browser.
Walk-through notes ensure they stay on the right path. Intuitive context-sensitive
feedback management gathers their thoughts, requests and suggestions –
making them available to the authors of the simulation in real time. Rapid
feedback is invaluable in ensuring projects finish on time, with all the
features needed by stakeholders.
Single Source of Truth
Without
iRise, projects are defined with multiple kinds of documents – text
descriptions, static screen shots and flow diagrams. This can lead to
confusion on the project team as each of these documents can easily become
inconsistent with each other. Version control also becomes difficult to
manage. With the iRise Definition Center definition teams are assured that the right
and current requirements are available - in real time.
Access Control
By leveraging a central and secure repository, the iRise Definition Center provides access to authorized teams to the most current set of simulations and definition assets in their organization. Security is granular and permissions may be assigned depending on a person's role in defining software – ensuring secure interactions with business partners, client/customers and other external entities. Furthermore, iRise Definition Center supports user authentication via LDAP, allowing user name and passwords entered during login to be validated against a centralized, corporate LDAP server. Therefore, all security policies established on your LDAP server (e.g. password reset scheduling) will be enforced for iRise use as well.
