Visualization Changes App Dev At UPS

iRise has announced the immediate availability of a special version of iRise designed to be used on implementations of packaged applications based on SAP solutions. A special version of iRise Definition Center is now shipping that contains a pre-configured set of visualization templates that gives organizations a unique way to quickly visualize proposed changes to a broad range of implementations of SAP solutions – before coding. iRise can be used to dramatically shorten requirements cycle times on customization projects related to SAP solutions, which helps accelerate delivery and cuts the cost of downstream implementations. iRise visualizations can also be used as an alternative to 'sandbox' implementations that have traditionally been used by business people to test proposed implementations.

The new version of iRise Definition Center includes a visualization toolkit of generalized SAP solution-based page templates, masters and styles that are used to accelerate the assembly of high-fidelity, working simulations of proposed extensions of SAP applications. Starting with the library of pre-configured content from iRise and leveraging the power of iRise Studio, business analysts can bring together a working preview of proposed SAP solution-based extensions in a fraction of the time it would take to set up and maintain a sandbox environment or generate paper requirements documents. Business stakeholders can ‘test drive’ the visualizations on their own or in collaborative meetings that directly involve subject matter experts. Comments can be logged and acted upon quickly, speeding consensus and eliminating confusion on what to build.
