SAP (NYSE: SAP), the world’s leading supplier of business software, today announced that SAP Consulting in North America will adopt enterprise visualization software from iRise to engage with clients from initial proposal pursuit through solutions delivery.

Today, customers are even more focused on implementation duration, time-to-value and the overall simplification of SAP’s roadmap. By adopting visualization from iRise, we can provide this simplification and assist our clients in clearly capturing their vision. In turn, we help mitigate risk and implement in the shortest time possible.”

Haworth Transforms Application Definition with iRise Visualization
Haworth, a $1.6 billion global manufacturer and designer of organic workspaces and office furniture, has transformed its application definition process on business critical software projects by using iRise to visualize solutions before development. iRise visualizations have already been used in a major redesign of the www.Haworth.com website, the release of an Apple iPhone application and a large SAP project that is being coded with offshore resources. Haworth experienced dramatically shorter requirements cycle times on these projects and improved communication between business and IT, resulting in faster time to market, lower project cost and improved software quality.
“We wouldn’t dream of designing workspaces or furniture with text, so why would we design mission-critical software without visualizing first?” asked Ann Harten, CIO for Haworth. “iRise empowers our global organization to fully experience projects early in the process, eliminating confusion about what to build. Now that we’ve proven that visualization saves us time and money, we’ve mandated the use of iRise on dozens of new projects.” Read More

Paper is for Napkins, Not Complex Software
iRise president, COO and founder Maurice Martin published a contributed article in Insurance Networking News this month. Here’s an excerpt:
"Insurance industry CIOs know that modernizing and consolidating legacy applications is a key strategy for streamlining channels and improving efficiency. According to the latest Forrester Research "State of Enterprise Software: 2009" survey of more than 2,200 IT professionals, modernization is the No. 1 priority across many industries. But with more than 68% of all software projects failing to deliver, according to the latest 2009 Standish Group CHAOS Report, how can insurance industry IT leaders make sure these projects come in on time, on budget and with all the features needed by employees, brokers and customers?"
