iRise Named One of Los Angeles' Fastest-Growing Technology Companies in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Program

Credits corporate focus on addressing the time-to-market and innovation needs of businesses to its growth

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Oct. 5, 2007 – iRise®, the world’s leading application definition software company, today announced that for the second year in a row it has been named to Deloitte’s prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Los Angeles, a ranking of the 50 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in the area by Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, one of the nation’s leading professional services organizations.  Rankings are based on the percentage revenue growth over five years from 2002–2006.  Coming in at number 22 on the list, with revenue growth of over 300% the last 5 years, iRise helps companies create a high definition, visual blueprint of a business application before any coding begins, reducing time to market by up to 30%.

iRise’s Chief Marketing Officer Mitch Bishop attributes revenue growth to customers’ acknowledgment that speeding time to market for innovations is now required to stay competitive in the fast-moving global market.  Mr. Bishop said, “Visualizing mission-critical applications and test driving them before building them – in the same way that a manufacturer models and simulates a car or plane first before rolling it off the production line – delivers significant top and bottom line results.  Additionally, they’ve recognized that simulation leads to more effective project portfolio prioritization and better funding decisions.”

To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2002 and $5,000,000 in 2006, be headquartered in North America, and be a company that owns proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify.

Winners of the 16 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America’s top 500 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies.
