ad2 Selects iRise for Project Simulation

Interactive design agency leverages iRise to communicate creative vision to clients

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Dec. 18, 2007 – iRise®, the world’s leading application definition software company, today announced that ad2, a Los Angeles-based interactive agency, has leveraged iRise to communicate project vision to their clients.  Using iRise simulations, the ad2 team is able to help their clients visualize online project proposals, cutting significant time and cost out of the process, as well as improving their ability to accurately scope the project costs and timeframes.

ad2 (http://www.ad2.com/) is an award-winning agency that has been creating dynamic content since 1980. Before iRise, text-based documents and static screen mock-ups were used in presentations to clients in order to validate architecture and logic and convey the overall user experience. The development team would then design and implement the proposed solution using these documents. With this process, development times were longer and resulted in more changes due to the inability to communicate visually. iRise helped to transform the process from static to visual, shaving months off the process for a typical project.

"What iRise technology does is replace static wire frames and Visio diagrams to create a simulated experience of a client’s site," said Brad Mooberry, president and chief executive officer of ad2. "Now when the client asks 'What is it going to look like?' we can actually show them the user experience before we start the design process, make real-time changes, then secure sign-off on the visual blueprint. Because of iRise, we can set better expectations and the client has a rich, realistic view into the end product much sooner."

Using the iRise simulation, the design team is able to collapse that whole process – find a better, more interactive way to communicate with the client while ensuring the project stays on time and on budget. ad2 is able to share the vision with clients, thereby avoiding missteps, communication gaps, rework and change orders. For the design team, they can now demonstrate interactivity to key constituents. Additionally, the simulation offers a clearer roadmap for more efficient project management.

The agency routes the simulation to editors and content managers for input – via an iDoc, an encapsulated version of the interactive simulation. By reviewing the iDoc, clients can understand the workflow and levels of access often required in a solution and account for that in their processes. Stakeholders also have a clearer picture of what is expected of them.

ad2’s clients have realized hard benefits from ad2’s use of iRise. In the case of one ultra luxury publishing brand, the client noticed that this sophisticated design process shaved six months off the overall project timeframe.

"In accelerating time to market for applications, our customers have shifted focus to delivering an intuitive user experience out of the gate," said Emmet B. Keeffe III, chief executive officer and co-founder of iRise. "Agencies such as ad2 are leveraging iRise to deliver highly creative design that meets customer needs the first time around."
