iRise Ships Single User Version of Software Visualization Authoring Tool

iRise Professional Edition offered with 30 day free trials, and entry level pricing

El Segundo, Calif. – July 14, 2008 – iRise®, the world’s leading visualization solutions company, today announced the immediate availability of iRise Professional Edition, a single user version of its popular enterprise, team-based software visualization authoring tool. For the first time, individual business analysts, interface designers and project managers can now leverage the same powerful visualization techniques in use by over 190 corporate customers to get business critical software projects to market faster, with less cost and risk. iRise Professional Edition is now available for purchase and also can now be downloaded for 30 day free trials directly from the iRise Web site.

"We’re broadening the market by making visualization more accessible to the individual application definition professional," said Maurice Martin, president, chief operating officer and founder of iRise. "Our vision is that all software will soon be visualized before it’s built, the same way that every car, airplane and building is modeled today. iRise is the essential tool for every professional that wants to more effectively elicit and document business needs around software projects."

Business analysts, interface designers and project managers use iRise Professional Edition to quickly simulate the workflow and basic behavior of proposed business applications by meeting directly with stakeholders in interactive requirements gathering sessions and rapidly iterating to a common agreement on business needs. Once these needs are captured in iRise, a high fidelity version of the simulation can be quickly created and shared with stakeholders through face-to-face or online meetings, where final feedback can be gathered and acted on.

iRise Professional Edition includes all of the powerful “drag and drop” software modeling features included in iRise Enterprise Edition that let business stakeholders fully experience applications before they're built:

  • Use case scenarios;
  • Masters & templates for reusable definition assets;
  • High fidelity interfaces, including rich Internet behaviors;
  • Configurable data interactions; and,
  • Life-like business logic and behavior.

If needed, simulations built with iRise Professional Edition can be upgraded easily to iRise Enterprise Edition, which adds powerful team-based collaboration capabilities to groups of software definition professionals that need to work together on a single project.

Software Visualization
iRise offers a powerful way for businesses to quickly visualize and “test market” applications before a single line of code is written. For the first time, business software definition professionals can validate what they need, and then communicate their ideas to others using visualizations that replicate the exact look, feel and behavior of the proposed solution, taking the guesswork out of application definition. Just as computer-aided design (CAD) tools transformed the automotive, aerospace and semiconductor industries iRise is now transforming the global business application market.

With thousands of projects completed successfully, the value of visualization has proven to be enormous for businesses in highly competitive markets:

  • Get to market twice as fast;
  • Eliminate 30% of project costs;
  • Ensure success of global sourcing strategies; and,
  • Improve customer experience.

iRise can be used to visualize any software that has a user interface: new Web applications, portals, enhancements to existing systems, customizations to packaged implementations and even mobile applications.

About iRise
iRise is the world’s leading provider of visualization software for business applications.    Visualization is quickly becoming a critical competitive advantage for businesses to more effectively communicate their needs to technology teams and give everyone involved the ability to fully experience applications before they are built.  Companies of all sizes like UPS, Wachovia, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Manpower, CompuCredit, Capgemini, and many others use iRise to “test drive” their applications before building, which accelerates time to revenue, improves customer experience, and drives costs down.  At iRise, our vision is that by 2020, all business software will be visualized before being built, the same way that every car, airplane, and building is visualized today.  Headquartered in El Segundo, Calif., iRise is backed by Morgan Stanley Venture Partners, and Deutsche Bank, and has sales offices across North America.
