Sterling Creek Software Wins with iRise

Enterprise visualizations used to cut confusion & rework with clients

EL SEGUNDO, CA - September 2, 2009 - iRise®, the world's leading enterprise visualization solutions company today announced that Sterling Creek Software, a growing regional software systems developer and integrator based in Indianapolis, has leveraged iRise on custom CRM and construction estimation business software projects to improve client satisfaction and speed delivery. Success on initial projects has prompted Sterling Creek to adopt iRise as a standard method for engaging with clients early in the proposal stage, which is expected to increase win rates and drive more new business to the firm.

Using iRise, Sterling Creek designed and built a custom estimation system for Firestone Building Products, a global leader in commercial roofing systems. The new system is used by roofing system engineers and estimators to import complex CAD drawings and generate necessary parts lists, quotes, and orders to Firestone's production facilities throughout North America. iRise visualizations were used by Sterling Creek to quickly validate customer requirements and model the entire system before any coding was done. The final visualization then acted as an exact guide for what to build, speeding up delivery of a system that already had broad client approval.

"We are experiencing far less confusion, rework and risk with iRise," stated Kortney Storms, a senior business analyst for Sterling Creek Software. "As a consulting firm we can build much stronger client relationships utilizing visualization early on; even during the proposal pursuit process. We fully expect that visualization will help us win more business and deliver better results for our clients."

Another client project designed and built by Sterling Creek was a custom CRM solution for Genflex Roofing Systems, a leading flexible roofing manufacturer. The new Web-based call logging application is being used by external sales staff to keep track of job and customer visits. Sterling Creek Software assembled the client requirements for this project in both a traditional text-based scheme and by assembling iRise visualizations. The side-by-side test of application definition methods yielded 30 additional user scenarios visualized in iRise that were missed by the old methods.

"We simply would not have caught the missed requirements without iRise," continued Mr. Storms. "This side-by-side experiment convinced us to mandate the use of iRise on all new client engagements to avoid confusion and missed opportunities."

"Consultancies everywhere are moving to visualization as a competitive necessity," said Mitch Bishop, CMO at iRise. "If you're trying to define and build software applications for clients, there is simply no better way to engage and deliver."
