Ralph Szygenda Joins iRise

Industry veteran, CIO Hall of Fame member to drive market adoption of enterprise visualization

EL SEGUNDO, CA - February 8, 2010 - iRise®, the global leader in enterprise visualization solutions today announced that Ralph Szygenda, former global CIO for General Motors, Bell Atlantic and Texas Instruments, has joined iRise as a strategic consultant and member of the iRise Advisory Board. Mr. Szygenda will be heading up the creation of an exclusive CIO advisory council for iRise that will focus on transformation, business and IT communication and closing the gap between sellers and buyers. In addition, Mr. Szygenda will be leading content direction and speaker recruitment, as well as moderating selected events in the iRise executive roundtable series, a world-class platform for CIO networking and information sharing.

"iRise is revolutionary and the world needs to understand the power it brings to organizations that want to close the gap between business and IT," stated Mr. Szygenda. "The introduction of enterprise visualization is forever changing the process and stakeholder experience of software design and development."

Mr. Szygenda is known as a "transformation CIO" for business process change and global sourcing with multiple systems integrators. This experience is critically relevant as iRise drives the people, process and technology transformation for companies that build business software.

"Visualization enables CIOs to transform their IT organizations by fundamentally taking the risk out of global sourcing and application rationalization strategies," Mr. Szygenda continued. "The result is that the business is transformed as well."

"Furthermore, I believe that innovation is the new imperative for the next several years. There is pent-up demand for a partnership between business and IT that delivers innovation and drives new revenue opportunities. Many companies will have to rationalize and reboot their business processes in order to succeed with these initiatives. Visualization is the common theme that empowers companies to deliver faster, with less cost and risk."

Mr. Szygenda has a long history in different industries of developing and implementing Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems for hardware and software as a transformational strategy.

"CAD was a fundamental agent of change for manufacturing companies twenty years ago," he continued. "I see the same transformational opportunity for visualization in the world of IT by applying visualization. I foresee that Global 2000 firms, global systems integrators, and enterprise software companies alike will experience unprecedented improvements in productivity, innovation and time to market of business software."

"Visualization requires a people, process and technology transformation that has been driven from the global CIO down," he continued. "The iRise management team, its transformational products and potential compelled me to join the iRise team."

"We are honored and excited that a Hall of Fame CIO of the caliber of Ralph Szygenda has decided to help us introduce enterprise visualization to other world-class CIOs," said Emmet B. Keeffe III, CEO and co-founder of iRise. "He is an incredibly powerful voice that will help us get the word out to other world-class IT leaders that visualization is a transformational strategy to solve the endemic communication issues between business and IT."
