iRise Ships Visualization Content for SAP Solutions

Pre-assembled visualizations speed time to value for critical SAP projects

EL SEGUNDO, CA - May 17, 2010 - iRise®, the global leader in enterprise visualization solutions today announced at the SAPPHIRE® NOW conference (booth #1109), being held May 16-19 in Orlando, Fla., the availability of iRise for SAP Solutions v2.0 that delivers an expanded set of pre-defined visualization content and speeds time to visualization for SAP projects.

iRise gives organizations a unique way to quickly experience proposed changes to a broad range of SAP implementations - before configuring or coding. iRise for SAP Solutions v2.0 contains over one hundred pre-assembled visualization assets for many types of SAP implementations. iRise is used by business analysts to quickly assemble working previews of SAP configurations, integrations & customizations early in project life cycles to accelerate time to value and reduce risk for mission-critical SAP projects. iRise also announced the availability of a companion content module for SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) modules - iRise for SAP® Solutions - SRM Edition.

"Faced with increasing business demands, SAP customers are looking to shrink the amount of time it takes to bring new business capabilities to bear in their applications," said Dennis Gaughan, managing vice president, research at Gartner Inc.. "Visualization tools can help shrink that time by giving application users a realistic picture of functionality and help refine the requirements for developers."

iRise can be used as a 'virtual sandbox' for companies that want to avoid the time and expense required to code SAP sandbox environments to validate business requirements. For companies that already have invested in sandboxes, iRise can be used as an effective strategy during blueprint to identify gaps between standard SAP and changing business needs. Visualizations can include non-SAP applications as well, allowing collaboration on the entire extended business process definition, for example: legacy applications, integrations and mobile devices.

In both cases business analysts use iRise to quickly assemble a working visualization of proposed extensions or customizations that exactly mimic the look, feel and behavior of the final system that can be 'test driven' by business stakeholders, accelerating understanding and driving fast consensus on what to build. iRise for SAP Solutions is a content module that includes a toolkit of generalized SAP solution-based page templates, masters and styles that are used to accelerate the creation of visualizations.

"Companies that run their businesses on SAP now have a powerful way to speed up these projects," stated Emmet B. Keeffe III, CEO and co-founder of iRise. "Visualizing and fully experiencing SAP before implementation is a proven strategy to accelerate time to value for companies of all sizes."

A working preview of proposed SAP solutions can now be assembled in a fraction of the time it would take to set up and maintain a sandbox environment or generate paper requirements documents. Business stakeholders can 'test drive' the visualizations on their own or in collaborative meetings that directly involve subject matter experts. Comments can be logged and acted upon quickly, speeding consensus and eliminating confusion on what to build.

For the first time, iRise is also releasing a solution specific content module - iRise for SAP Solutions - SRM Edition. This companion product includes detailed visualizations of certain key business processes supported by the SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) module, software for fully integrated source-to-payment. The new iRise visualization content includes employee shopping cart, approval process, sourcing cockpit and professional shopping cart visualization content, which further accelerates visualization of SRM related projects.

Visualizations created in iRise also offer a high-powered alternative to text specifications for global sourcing implementations related to SAP solution-based projects. iRise allows the business to deliver to its sourcing partner a high-fidelity, interactive visualization as an unambiguous specification for what to build, cutting cost and eliminating project risk.

"Our systems integrator partners are quickly moving to visualization as a standard for how to improve engagement with clients during sales pursuits," continued Mr. Keeffe. "They are finding that visualizing solutions during pursuits helps them win more business. And the visualizations can then be leveraged to accelerate and improve delivery."
