Deloitte Consulting LLP and iRise Create Alliance to Help Organizations Reduce Cost and Increase Effectiveness of Software Development

NEW YORK, NY and EL SEGUNDO, Calif. –— November 1, 2005 — Deloitte Consulting LLP (Deloitte Consulting), one of the world's leading professional services organizations, and iRise, the world's leading application definition software and services company, today announced that they have signed a new alliance agreement. The alliance builds on Deloitte Consulting and iRise's continuing efforts to help their clients reduce the cost and effort associated with their software development projects, while helping improve the effectiveness of these initiatives.

According to a survey conducted for iRise earlier this year by Decipher, a leading independent research organization, the vast majority of IT organizations budget for cost overruns and software design changes resulting from insufficient requirement definitions made at the outset of development projects. Nearly a third of companies, according to the survey, set aside more than 25 percent of their development budgets for changes that could have been avoided in the first place.

iRise's unique application simulation platform and its application definition experience, knowledge and skills help enable organizations to validate and simulate custom applications in order to better mitigate risk, deliver on time and improve the overall quality of the applications to the business.

Using the iRise platform, business people can quickly assemble a working simulation of a complex system during the requirements phase, helping the business user and the software developer to find and re-define missing or unclear requirements before coding begins.

In the past, text and static screen shots were the primary method for defining requirements on most software development projects. With the iRise platform a simulation can be created in hours with no code. Because business stakeholders often struggled with requirements until they were able to see how the software worked, projects often suffered from late stage, unplanned rework.

"We've used the iRise application simulation platform in providing consulting services to a number of clients in the financial services and manufacturing industries, as well as the public sector, to help them better define requirements early on, and reduce the cost of rework required by those applications to meet the needs of their organization," stated Jon Williams, Principal and leader of Deloitte Consulting's Technology Integration service area. "Deloitte Consulting and iRise are of one mind when it comes to our clients. We're focused on helping them excel and deliver bottom-line value to their business."

"iRise's alliance agreement with Deloitte Consulting is a testament to the success of our ongoing relationship and the value we've delivered to our mutual clients," said Emmet B. Keeffe III, CEO and co-founder of iRise. "We look forward to working together to help companies more efficiently deliver software applications that meet the unique needs of their business."

The success of the alliance was recently recognized by iRise at its first annual Partner Summit in Los Angeles. Deloitte Consulting received two awards from iRise, including their 'Partner of the Year' award for best overall performance.
