Guy Chiarello Joins iRise Board of Advisors

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – August 29, 2007 – iRise®, the world's leading application definition software and services company, today announced that Guy Chiarello, former chief information officer (CIO) of Morgan Stanley, has joined the iRise Board of Advisors.

"With more than twenty years experience in technology leadership roles, Guy leveraged the power of cutting-edge IT systems to help make Morgan Stanley into a financial services powerhouse," said Emmet B. Keeffe III, chief executive officer and co-founder of iRise. "Guy's expertise and experience will prove invaluable in helping to shape our approach to the market."

Financial services companies spend billions of dollars every year to design and develop complex business applications. Until recently, these mission-critical systems have been specified with paper-based documents, putting the projects at risk for delays, massive cost overruns and missing features. iRise is solving the problem with a unique computer-aided design solution that lets business and IT collaborate to quickly build a working simulation of a proposed business application before any coding happens.

"CIOs are facing tremendous time-to-market pressure while they continue to wrestle with people and process issues surrounding the global sourcing model for application development. As a result, CIOs need to advance their approach to application design and delivery," said Mr. Chiarello. "As the global sourcing model matures, addressing people, process and technology issues surrounding the business analyst function will become increasingly mission-critical. In order for global financial services firms to address these complex issues, strong top-down executive sponsorship is required. I'll be working closely with iRise to help convince 'C-level' executives to sponsor this powerful transformation opportunity."

Guy was promoted to managing director in 1997 and named as the first CTO of Morgan Stanley in 2000. Guy concurrently held the role of CIO since 2002 overseeing all IT activities, including over 6,000 application development resources globally. During his tenure, IT was keenly focused on strategic business solutions through innovation, aligning with strategic Firm priorities to accelerate global expansion and financial performance while enabling the effective operation of the business every day. Morgan Stanley invests over $3B in technology annually

Guy has received numerous industry honors, and was most recently recognized as one of the 2006 Computerworld Premier 100 Technology Executives and was named one of the Top 20 Financial IT Executives for 2005. Guy is an active industry participant serving as an executive advisor to a number of the top public and emerging technology companies.
