BearingPoint Uses iRise to Simulate Business Solutions
Global systems integrator improves sales & delivery processes using iRise
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — June 21, 2006 — iRise®, the world's leading application definition software company, today announced that BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE: BE), one of the world's largest management and technology consulting firms, has adopted iRise to quickly customize business solutions and assets that BearingPoint will then bring to its client base.
The first solution BearingPoint has simulated in iRise is Enterprise Credit Risk Management (ECRM), a single platform that integrates the analysis, decision-making, processing, and monitoring of all credit-related activities across the enterprise. The second solution BearingPoint has simulated is a search application for the insurance market that allows insurance clients to access real-time data and business intelligence from a wide spectrum of enterprise applications.
"We recognize that presenting a business solution to our diverse client base is challenging," said Peter Mooiweer, managing director at BearingPoint. "iRise provides considerable value to us by providing a customizable simulation of our solution and enabling more productive conversations earlier in the sales process. Clients are able to test drive our business application in an iRise simulation, collaborate around the desired functionality for their specific needs, and accelerate our solution delivery process."
Previously, BearingPoint modeled and simulated solutions for clients by relying on traditional prototyping techniques, such as coded prototypes and static screen shots. Those options were more expensive and time consuming. With iRise, BearingPoint can offer highly interactive and customizable visual simulations that take less time to produce and look and act like the real thing. In general, the ability to interact with and quickly customize an accurate preview of business solutions can create a unified vision among key client stakeholders that accelerates their buy-in, lowers the business risk of the project and promotes a culture of innovation.
"Global systems integrators are concerned with more effectively visualizing applications, including pre-built business solutions, for their customers early in the engagement process," said Sherrick Murdoff, vice president of business development and global alliances for iRise. "By simulating solutions in iRise from the start, BearingPoint can engage clients to collaborate on what the end-state for business solutions should be and then deliver those solutions more accurately."
