El Segundo, Calif. – June 4, 2008 – iRise®, the world’s leading visualization solutions company, announced today that it filed a patent infringement lawsuit on June, 3, 2008 in the United States District Court for the Central District of California against Axure Software Solutions, Inc. for infringement of U.S. Patent No. 7,349,837. The patent, titled “Systems and Methods for a Programming Environment for a Simulation of a Computer Application,” relates to interactive simulation systems and, more particularly, to the editing and association of text-based requirements in the context of an interactive simulation authoring environment. The U.S. Patent Office issued the ’837 patent to iRise on March 25, 2008. The ’837 patent is the second patent covering interactive simulation system technology that the U.S. Patent Office has awarded to iRise in the last 18 months, and iRise has several additional patent applications covering that technology pending in the U.S. and overseas.

iRise’s complaint asks the court to prevent Axure from making, using, selling, or offering for sale computer software products that infringe iRise’s patent, and it also seeks undisclosed damages arising from Axure’s unauthorized use of iRise’s patented technology.
