iRise & OneSpring Update Apple iPhone Visualization Content
Free 'iRise for iPhone' simulation templates speed definition, delivery of mobile e-Commerce applications
El Segundo, Calif. – May 26, 2009 – iRise®, the world’s leading visualization solutions company, and OneSpring, a leading user-centric software design firm, today announced the immediate availability of an updated version of the world’s only simulation templates for the Apple iPhone that allow developers and business stakeholders to fully experience a new generation of e-commerce mobile applications prior to any development.
Developed by iRise partner OneSpring, “iRise for iPhones”™ gives business analysts, user experience professionals and project managers a way to quickly prototype the look, feel and behavior of iPhone applications, including screen transitions, typing, sliding, etc., before any coding, saving time during product ideation and speeding up delivery of finished apps. For the first time, iRise for iPhones is now free for download direct from iRise and OneSpring.
First released in 2008, iRise for iPhones has been used to simulate a wide range of native iPhone apps including finance, automotive, medical, employment and education. Internet healthcare start-up inforMediq is one example. inforMediq is building the IT infrastructure to allow healthcare providers to better manage resources while improving overall patient care. By providing the right information at the right time to the right caregiver in the right context, inforMediq's healthcare management system will help providers and payers see significant cost reduction in the delivery of healthcare services for their patient populations.
”We have been able to leverage the power of iRise visualization and OneSpring's iPhone templates to quickly and easily validate user interface concepts and application functionality,” stated Ram C. Singh, CEO of inforMediq. “By using visualization, we are able to more quickly drive to the core of what is required to be successful, all without any expensive coding.”
“Delivering the perfect customer experience will be essential for the new breed of applications now appearing for the iPhone,” stated Maurice Martin, president, COO and founder of iRise. “Using visualization to test application interfaces directly with consumers before any development just makes sense; applications get delivered faster, with huge confidence that consumers will have fun and adopt the final result.”
iRise for iPhones is a complete toolkit for the design of custom iPhone applications. It was built using visual elements and artifacts directly from Apple’s SDK, to which only approved Apple Developers have access, thus allowing business analysts and interface
designers who do not have access to Apple’s SDK to model app behavior early in the process.
iRise for iPhones offers a template guide that matches the form factor of the iPhone to help ensure designs can be accurately reproduced with the Apple SDK. iRise for iPhones includes:
- iPhone iDoc visualization template with guides;
- Menu icons w/ buttons;
- Custom button template;
- Slider and button action behaviors; and,
- Multi-touch actions.
“The iPhone is revolutionizing mobile e-commerce,” said Scott McDowell, co-founder of OneSpring. “Mobile consumers want a full range of e-commerce options available, with all the bells, whistles and performance of a traditional Internet experience. The iPhone makes this vision a reality, but that raises challenges in customer experience and time to market. Being able to quickly visualize with iRise and OneSpring templates before you build solves those challenges in a simple, elegant way.”
