iRise Recognized by IBM for Significant Contributions as Leading Security Implementation Partner
iRise Application Security Services Practice Receives Prestigious Race to Win! Challenge Awards for Top Sales of IBM Tivoli Identity Manager
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - May 10, 2004 — iRise (www.irise.com), a leading enterprise software and services company dedicated to bridging the communication gap between business and IT, today announced that it has been awarded three prestigious Race to Win! Challenge awards from IBM for the company's significant contributions in driving sales of the IBM Tivoli Identity Manager security product.
As a security software partner for IBM, iRise was awarded the "Rookie Challenge" award for generating the most security revenue of any qualifying IBM Business Partner for the second and third quarters of 2003, as well as the "Fastest Lap" award for bringing in the single largest IBM Tivoli security software sale in the third quarter of 2003. This recognition further reinforces iRise's role as an important security implementation partner for IBM.
Through its widely-recognized Application Security Services practice, iRise works with IBM to deliver top-rated security solutions to organizations looking to manage user identities and application access. The iRise Application Security Services Practice provides a unique combination of people, processes, and technologies to help organizations choose the right approach to addressing their application security issues, including: strategy, discovery, definition, architecture, vendor selection, proof of concept, implementation, mentoring, and augmentation.
"iRise far exceeded expectations by winning these awards, further reinforcing its role as a key security implementation partner for IBM," said Mike Gerentine, director of worldwide channel strategy, IBM Tivoli Software. "We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with iRise, as they clearly have the experience and industry knowledge organizations need to make the right application security decisions."
Along with the continued advancement of the Internet, there has been an explosion of applications that extend across and beyond traditional organizational boundaries to hundreds, thousands, and, often millions of users. As organizations continue to push enterprise standards to consolidate applications and establish platforms for the future, application security has become a critical issue, especially as it relates to identity management. Together, iRise and IBM are enabling organizations to address their key application security issues through IBM Tivoli Identity Manager software, which enables organizations to centrally coordinate the creation of user accounts, the automation of the approval process, and the provisioning of resources - allowing companies to maximize security efficiency and quickly increase return on investments (ROI) in technology and services.
"Application security is at the forefront of many organizations' security agendas, and we're pleased to partner so closely with IBM in delivering to companies the industry's leading security solutions," said Jacques Marine, executive vice-president of consulting, iRise. "It's an honor to be recognized by IBM for our security services expertise, quick execution ability, and most importantly, for our contributions as a leading security implementation partner."
iRise's Services group has teamed with over 100 enterprises to develop and deploy mission-critical solutions in over 300 engagements, helping organizations substantially reduce the time, cost, and risk of custom application development and systems integration projects. The company's award-winning iRise Application Simulator platform is designed to provide business users with the ability to visually validate requirements and "test drive" software through an interactive simulation prior to development, thus helping to ensure that customized applications can meet the needs of the business while minimizing development time and cost. The platform can allow for the definition, testing and approval of Web-based business software before developers write the first line of code, eliminating up to 30 percent of overall development costs. Additionally, by serving as a common communications medium at the earliest stages of the development process, the iRise Application Simulator can help organizations dramatically reduce the risks associated with offshore outsourcing-bridging gaps in language, time zones, and cultures to help ensure that organizations realize the true business benefits of outsourcing.
