Spectrum Systems Continues to Build its Application Development Capabilities

Federal government initiatives can benefit from solutions that allow for rapid development and requirements simulation

Spectrum Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce it has partnered with i2st and iRise to offer their application development and definition solutions to the Federal government. Spectrum provides its customers with a complete application development and protection capability from concept to long-term productivity optimization and management. The i2st and iRise product lines are solutions that can help Federal organizations meet the goals of E-Government and other IT initiatives.

By automating Rapid Application Development, i2st's SQL-DBI Solution Server uses the client's custom design to create all the components required to implement robust, data-driven solutions that are easy to maintain and expand.

"The need for cost effective line-of-business applications at the department and unit level is as great in the federal government as in the commercial sector," expressed Christopher Lee, co-founder, i2st. "Having Spectrum Systems as a strategic partner gives us the opportunity to deliver web-enabled information management systems to federal organizations."

Dedicated to improving the process of defining software applications, iRise's Application Simulator™, a recent recipient of eWeek Labs Analyst's Choice Award, allows users to simulate and validate requirements and "test drive" applications before developers write the first line of code, thereby dramatically reducing development time and cost.

"Just as in the commercial sector, stalled or failed software development projects continue to be a common and very costly problem for government entities, as most are unaware that there is a solution available specifically designed to minimize the risks associated with development and ensure success," said Emmet B. Keefe III, CEO and co-founder, iRise. "We're pleased to partner with Spectrum Systems to enable government customers to finally realize the true benefits of customized development by moving from the common text-based definition environment to a visual one in which requirements can be validated through a visual simulation before time and money are spent on development."

"With the explosive growth in size and complexity of government software applications combined with federal initiatives like Enterprise Architecture, E-Government, legacy modernization and software consolidation, it is imperative to utilize productivity tools that can reduce development time and costs," explained Ron Segal, president and CEO of Spectrum Systems. "Spectrum is always looking for emerging solutions to add to its suite of development, optimization and management tools. The addition of these solutions strengthens our competitiveness and most of all, our value proposition to our customers."

These featured solutions are now available on Spectrum's General Services Administration/Federal Supply Service (GSA/FSS) Schedule (GS-35F-5192G).
