iRise Appoints David Walker as Senior Product Evangelist
Industry Veteran Joins iRise To Drive Global Adoption of Application Simulation
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. –— March 22, 2005 — iRise®, the world’s leading application definition software and services company, today announced the appointment of David Walker as Senior Product Evangelist. Mr. Walker brings to iRise 12 years of experience in product management, marketing, project management and sales/business analysis for requirements management solutions and complex business systems. In his new role, Mr. Walker will be focused on driving broad adoption of the iRise application definition platform within client organizations, as well as sharing application definition ‘best practices’ with the market.
Mr. Walker comes to iRise from Borland®, the global leader for software delivery optimization solutions, where he served as the director of product management for the requirements management product, CaliberRM™. In this position his superior knowledge of the market and discipline allowed him to substantially grow product revenues year over year and materially impact product market share. Mr. Walker has been involved with CaliberRM since its inception at Technology Builders, Inc. Prior to Borland, Mr. Walker was a regional director of sales engineering for CaliberRM at StarBase Corporation and the director of alliance technology engineering for CaliberRM at Technology Builders, Inc. Before joining Technology Builders, Inc., Mr. Walker spent six years defining and implementing large scale, complex financial services and banking applications.
