iRise for Business Plan Competitions and Student Entrepreneurs

Win Your Next Business Plan Competition

iRise has a special offer for student teams involved in academic business plan competitions.  We will provide free access to our innovative rapid prototyping and simulation solution to any qualified team working on a product idea, which involves a software application that requires a graphical user interface.

Imagine the Possibilities
Rather than simply turning in a standard business plan for the competition, imagine supplementing your business plan with a working and interactive simulation of your vision for a new software application. Judges, VCs, professors and other students will see exactly what you imagined – instead of guessing what you mean. Now, imagine that the simulation could be created with 1/10 the effort of a traditional prototype and with no additional out-of-pocket costs.

"Experiment Fearlessly"
This advice from management guru Tom Peters is the simple view of prototyping and innovation that should be the goal of all companies. The most important function of a prototype is to help you evaluate and validate ideas. iRise lets you rapidly create and test alternatives – without investing valuable time or money in software development. The value of real feedback from potential users and strategic business partners enables you to refine your idea earlier on in your lifecycle, leading to greater success.

Create a Prototype of Your Software Applications
iRise is a software solution employed by technical or non-technical users to create a preview of applications – before writing a single line of code. An iRise prototype, or simulation, is a living and interactive model that combines all process flows, user interfaces, business logic, textual requirements and data structures in a single interactive document. iRise simulations let you focus on what you want your application to do and how it should look without worrying about the technical programming details.

About iRise

iRise is transforming the application definition market with a simple idea: simulate business applications before they're built, so key stakeholders can "test drive" the software and get it right – the first time. Experiment with ideas at the beginning of projects to make sure you are on the right track.

With its beginnings as a consulting services company delivering hundreds of complex projects for clients around the country, iRise "lived the pain" associated with ambiguous business requirements that result in delays, cost overruns and missing features in business-critical applications.

iRise is dedicated to bridging the communication gap between business and IT by dramatically improving the process of defining business applications – and we are committed to assisting student entrepreneurs develop their ideas for software applications.

iRise Offers Student Teams a Better Way to:

  • Test New Product Concepts in a Visual and Interactive Way
  • Explain Your Ideas
  • Gather More Targeted and Valuable Feedback
  • Develop New Innovations

What is the iRise Offer?
iRise will offer free licenses, training materials and support to any student team participating in a business plan competition.  The license package consists of 3 Studio licenses and 1 Server license with a trial period that extends to the end of the competition.

Is iRise Easy to Learn?
iRise is very easy to learn because it was primarily designed for non-technical users.  iRise has an extensive help system built into the application along with several flash-based tutorials.  We will also provide a package of self-learning materials, which includes an overview presentation, a set of self-guided exercises and example iDocs that you can use as quick starts for formatting.
